Cadet Programs
Would you like to honor and serve your country as a member of one of America’s premier volunteer organizations?
Do you want to prepare for your future while making new friends, learning valuable skills and having fun?
If you answered yes, then rise to the challenge of membership in Civil Air Patrol, the official auxiliary of the U.S. Air Force.
The CAP Cadet curriculum is built upon four elements; Aerospace Education, Leadership, Physical Fitness and Character Development. The Program runs year-round, and cadets are afforded many opportunities for growth and development. Cadets can fly, learn to lead, hike, camp, get in shape by pushing themselves to new limits. If you've ever dreamed about a career in aviation, space, or the military, CAP's cadet program is for you!
Prospective cadets must be at least 12 but not yet 19 years old. Squadrons meet for 2 – 2.5 hours per week and usually one Saturday per month, on average, and have opportunities to attend leadership encampments, career academies, and other activities during the summer.
